I want to start by saying , Thank God for the blogger! If it wasn't for this blog site and a few postings on Facebook, we would have had a greater lost then imaginable.
I'm talking about the last 2 years of our family pictures are gone. Our computer crashed last week and to our surprise, the 2 back up external drives did not save the last 2 years of photos. Why??? I don't know? User error, error on the drive? No idea. The first thing we all wanted to do was point fingers.. Who didn't back it up? Who didn't check it to make sure it backed up properly? But in reality it's no one's fault. I blame it on human error in general. Humans and technology can not live together cooperatively in one world.
So to all my blogging friends, family and beyond, Please please please back it up, print it, back that up, print it, and blog blog blog! Crazy thing is, we knew all of this. But we assumed that when we backed it up in 2 places, it was there. NOPE! Wrong!!
What are we missing? Middle or End of 2010-2012 (present). We are completely devastated. You can say I went into a morning state of mind. I will be grieving about this for a few years to come. Molly's Thanksgivings, Christmas's, New Year's, Halloween's, 2nd Birthday, Mothers & Father's day's, Easter's, all the holidays, pics with family, and life's funny moments in between are all gone. Unfortunately, we can't put all of our pics on the blog. The blog was only a glimpse into our lives.
So Molly, If you ever go searching for your past you'll have to come to this blog. This is it! Sorry honey bunch! We thought we took every precaution to prevent this from happening. We will have to do more then that after today to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else or ourselves ever again. As long as we rely on computers to hold these precious moments, I'm afraid the odds are against us.
The following pictures are of the what I had on our camera which did not get downloaded on to the computer until today.
End of July 2012
Molly very sleepy after a long weekend with her cousins
Charlie? Well, he's tired too!
Cousin's Alicia & Sarah came to visit and watch the opening of the 2012 Olympics
Molly twirling in her tutu during our Olympic party
Akron Aero's Game Night
Molly's first baseball game. Our cousin Joy, Dave & Morgan treated us to a game. Joining us was Molly's Great Aunt Ella, Great Uncle Ken, Cousin Roy, Roy's daughter & nanny, and some of Dave's immediate family. We were celebrating Dave's Birthday.
It was incredibly hot!! The sun beat right on us.
We ended up buying new Aero hats to help block the sun from our eyes.
Molly looks pretty happy to be here doesn't she?
Well, she was so hot and she just wanted to run around in the stands with her cousin.
This is Joy and Morgan
Morgan brought her baby doll. So as soon as she left her seat Molly scooted over and took her place. She babysat until Morgan came back.
The game was amazing to watch. The Aero's were hitting home runs almost the entire game. Tons of foul balls flew over our heads into the stands. You had to be on the watch at all times or you could hit in the head.
Akron Aero's are #1!
Cousin Roy was cracking Molly up! She would tap him on the shoulder from behind and try to trick him. She want on with this little game for about 15 minutes. She's such a goof!
Tap tap... Poor Roy!
But it is funny!
We Win!! Akron Aero's Win!!
What a fun game! Our favorite part was the dipping dots and the $1. hot dogs. :) Yummy!
There's that smile!
We are very sad for the loss of so many pictures. We ask that if any of our family and friends were able to capture any "Molly" moments in the last 2 years, to please send us copies. Thank you!
Love Molly's Mom, Jennifer
